Biggest Mistake People Make With Social Bookmarking
Once you have your first social network page up, then you are going to want to create and setup an account with a social bookmarking site. While these are only the basic first few steps, they will become quite important. We are also going to take a look at how many people make a very common mistake at this step.
The key is duplication. Take the site you just bookmarked and now bookmark it at other sites. You need to have as many bookmarks at as many sites as possible. While this is going to be time consuming, the more links you have, the more people can see them. Not everyone uses all the same sites when they search for stuff to visit.
Ready for this often missed step? Good.
What you absolutely must NOT do is to only bookmark your own promotional bookmarks. People will not like you if you are solely out for promotions. What this means is that you should open your bookmarking accounts and bookmark your sites, but also remain active by:
“BOOKMARKING SITES OTHER THEN YOUR OWN”.
While this is is the equivalent of advertising other sites, it is what makes you a more social member of the community. If your going to surf, bookmark sites you enjoy as you go. It’s not that hard.
Rinse And Repeat Your Social Marketing Strategy
Now, once you have done this for a single page. Get to work on another page. Wow, here is another lost step.
Create more then one lens, more then one hub, and then book mark those pages as well.
Now, create similar pages at “other” social networking sites. Do not simply copy and paste the same exact material. Make new original content for each page you create. Then bookmark that page across all your bookmarking accounts.
Do this for every page of importance to your site.
