Move Over Denver Broncos – San Diego Chargers Making Another Charge
With the 2009-2010 football season reaching the midway point, nobody thought that the San Diego Chargers would make it a race. After losing 3 of their 5 first games and the Denver Broncos going 6-0, they AFC West was pretty much decided. But that has all but changed. Denver just lost to the defending Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
The San Diego Chargers have won 3 in a row and the Denver broncos are losers of 2 straight. All the momentum is leaning towards the Bolts and Denver is choking as usual. With both teams facing some pretty tough opponents to come, it should make for a very good division race.
Last year brought a similar situation. The whole AFC West was joke and with a 3 game lead and 3 games left in the regular season, the San Diego Chargers had to do the impossible… Win Out! With a little help from the Denver Broncos (who lost two in a row), it came to the final game of the season.
The Chargers won and went to the playoffs with a 8-8 record. Pretty sad, but at least the Chargers made some what of a run after that, winning on the road in Indy.
So true football fans will be watching on November 22nd, for what will probably be one of the biggest, best games of the season. The San Diego Chargers head to Denver for what will probably determine the AFC West championship. The better team will prevail and the Denver Broncos will once again watch the post season a mile high in the sky.
