Philips HN060 Noise Canceling Headphones – You Get What You Pay For

In the case of the Philips HN060 noise canceling headphones the old adage “you get what you pay for” is entirely true. They are an affordable pair of headphones that don’t really live up to many of the features in the pricier brands.

First the good parts about the headphones. They are priced relatively low starting from $40 to $50 bucks. They do a decent job of delivering sound while reducing noise around your environment. They do come with three different sets of earbuds, a plane adapter, a 3.5 mm jack for every other device, a carrying pouch, and a neck strap. The neck strap is a plus when traveling.

Next the bad stuff about the headphones. First the earbuds were rather uncomfortable. None of the three sets included would really fit inside my ear. They also would continue to fall out. Some reviews I have read talk like you really have to push them down deep into the ear cancel to get a good seal. This sounds a little dangerous to me. It also seemed that the earbud cords were very easy to get tangled up when putting the headphones away in its pouch. It seems to take more power so I had to turn the volume up higher than I would really like too.

In review the Philips HN060 is a decent pair of noise canceling headphones for the money. I really think you would be better saving your money and buying a pair that provides more features. If you can’t then is a reasonable alternative.
